ABOUT THE DELFT HAUS

The Delft Haus Bed & Breakfast is a glorious Victorian property, dating back to the 1890s. The original homeowner was a prominent local businessman and employer, who owned a once successful saw mill in Hall’s Harbour. The property remained in the possession of the same family until 1969. Over recent years we have been delighted to meet several family members who have returned to share tales of their happy childhood memories in the home and local community.

This beautiful property has been welcoming visitors for close to 20 years, when an owner, with a wonderful eye for design and detail, set about making a home-from-home for visitors wishing to experience this world-famous tourist destination.

The owners of Delft Haus thoroughly enjoy sharing their home and insights into the local area, and hope to inspire visitors to explore as much of this part of Nova Scotia, and its rich history, as possible. Although some of their guests are quite happy to just let the days unravel before them, they are more than happy to help their guests make the most of their stay, whether it be visiting wineries, historical sites, high tides, or any other number of things to do in Nova Scotia.
